Good Dealer(s) on Long Island?
Hi gang......I've been reading this board for a few weeks now...ever since I made the decision to buy an RX8 (immediately after a test drive. Well, as soon as I stepped on the gas, actually)
So now I've figured out how to actually post, and here's my first question:
Does anyone on this board have any experience with a Long Island Dealer? Care to share your experience?
Thanks,
Kevin
I plan to wait until this winter (Jan - Feb or so, when most car sales are pretty slow) to get what I expect to be a bit better of a deal.
I have done lots of looking, on this board and other places, and I have to say, there is no "sports" car out there for $30K that is better paired with a family of 4.........I am really looking forward to ownership.

guinness,
I've been in the same situation as you are... thought I'd wait until after the winter before buying. I test drove the RX-8 at Mazda 112 where they let me take a car right off the lot with only 8 miles on it for a unescorted drive. This makes me a little hesitant to buy a car from them since I don't like the idea of someone else redlining my new car. Visited Smithtown Mazda today... they've got a brand new showroom. They made me an offer for a 6MT GT that is pretty tempting but I managed to resist.
