Good price?

Hey guys,

I think I decided to go ahead and buy an Rx-8 by Monday!
I just wanted to see if everyone thought this was a good price:

$25,500 for an base, automatic, cloth interior Rx-8, with a donut tire kit that will be installed by the dealer, Mazda fog lights, and tint. All included for that price.

Sound good or bad?

Thanks!

Don't know where you are from, but in So. Cal, they advertise base model automatic 8's all day long for $22, 700. I am sure you could get a spare tire, fog lights and tint for less than the $$$ difference.

you should pay no more than $23000 for a base automatic RX-8

Just curious who's advertising the base AT in So. Cal. for $22,700. The MSRP is $25,700 (including $520 destination), and the invoice price (depending on the source) is about $2,000 below that, so $22,700 seems pretty generous with or without the destination charge. I'm not questioning the accuracy of the advertised price, but if I wasn't such a MT guy, I'd sure be tempted to get the AT at that price. Are they having trouble getting AT's off the lots?

Both Long Beach Mazda and Cerritos Mazda run specials on base 2004 AT 's every weekend (loss leaders). Just wish I wanted an AT 8. They quoted me a black 6 speed GT model this morning at $100.00 over invoice ($28,720).

I'm negotiating with Clear Lake Mazda/Volvo.

From what you know are these 'good' or 'bad' guys to deal with?
