Is this a good price for this RX-8?

This is a posting by a private seller.

This RX8 is brand new - almost - with <5000 miles. It is Titanium Gray Metallic (silver) RX8 with Dark Grey Alcantara Cloth Seats.

This is a great sportscar, and car has always been garaged, well-taken care of, never pushed hard, female driven and has never been in any accidents. Beautiful! Title is clear.

Options (see below):
6-speed (costs more than auto)
Sport Package - 238hp - with sports suspension
18-in premium alloy wheels & larger brakes
Xenon Headlights (automatic leveling) & fog lamps
Premium Stereo with 6 CD changer (in dash)
Front and Rear polished rotor accents
Dynamic Stability Control with limited slip differential
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Rear Spoiler
Spare Tire Kit (costs $320)
Power windows, locks, steering
Remote locking system and alarm
Cruise control/tilt
Air conditioning

PLUS: There are many options that are standard that are high-end options on other cars:
Side air bags
Steering wheel stereo controls
Steering wheel mounted cruise control
Tire pressure monitor

Original MSRP just over $29,000 + shipping + taxes, etc. If you are looking at other sporty cars, then consider this one - it packs great performance for a reasonable price!

I am asking for $23,950 which is way below KBB private party prices of $26,500. Must sell!

If you are interested I can send you a Carfax and pictures...Thanks!

Good deal or not?

My car had a MSRP of 32k. I paid dealer invoice, which was $30k. If the same holds true for that car, then invoice is around $27k. I've heard a number of people able to buy a new 2004 model for $3,000 under invoice, which puts the price around $24k. He's asking about that much, and given that 2004 stock is limited, and that car has under 5,000 miles, it's not a bad deal if there isn't any damage to it.

That's a confusing number since most dealers will straight up sell for invoice price for a brand new RX-8. So $4,000 off MSRP is about $2,000 or so under dealer invoice, which is still shy $1,000 of what we're hearing people able to buy at.

I bought a leftover 2004, sticker $35600, the car is loaded. I got it for several thousand below invoice. This was due to a $1500 rebate and the dealer kicked back their dealer cash they get from Mazda. I don't have the exact number in front of me, but I got it for about $30000 . Was a great deal to buy it now and put it in the garage unitil the spring (which was when I was going to get a 2005). There are no difference between 2005/05.

I presume you mean that there are no differences between 2004/05.
I would amend that to read "no major differences between 2004/05."

I was at the dealer today, and they offer me 29,143 on a 04 Black GT with nav and 173 miles.(retail-33,200) That was included with a 1500 rebate. I am trying to work them down to 28,300 and then slap on the 500.00 college rebate which makes 27,800. Wish me luck! Do you guys think i can go lower?
I"ll keep everyone posted.

And by the way..I couldnt even drive the car i wanted out of the lot today, because the battery was dead or maybe it was flooded. It was 10 degrees here. The funny thing is they made me drive another 8 model(05) and it started right up!
