hail damage experience anyone?

hail damage experience anyone?
so we got dumped with hail just a while back
my 8 is untouched .. but my wifes brand new 6 has spots on spots everywhere on the roof, trunk, and hood
we want to talk to statefarm tomorrow .. anyone went through this? what can they do to fix it? the only way i see it is .. new car .. or some cash to shut us up

Statefarm will either:
1. Take a quote from a reputable shop of your choice and cut you or that shop a check minus the deductible, or
2. Give you an estimate themselves and cut you a check minus the deductible and send you on your way to find a shop that will fix it for that amount or less.
I personally chose option #2 and ended up with a better deal than those that were going to shops for their estimate because I could use the check anywhere I wanted. This could include a paintless dent removal place which would be your best option if you know a good one and the dents are small enough to be removed easily.
