Hello everyone!
Long time lurker, 1st time poster here.
I'm going this weekend to see if I can get an 8.
Velocity Red with everything but navigation, manual of course.
The dealer hasnt balked at the 27K, I told him I'd give him and I havent found anyone else around here that would match it. Someone smack me if im not getting a good deal.
Was wondering about the flashes. Could someone give me a quick synopsis of what they are and anything else I need to clear with the dealer before I buy this baby?

Ok, I found the Flash thread and saw some info about new starter, plugs and a battery.
Is this something I should expect the dealership to have already done before I buy it?

I got one for you - make them pull the full service record for your car and give you the print-out. Keep it for your records.
If you see they replaced the spark-plugs and a few other things at one point you'll know some dummy flooded it which puts your catalytic convertor at risk of early failure (mine started clogging up at ~2000 miles, see my story here; https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/2-000-miles-cel-bucking-%40-4-000rpm-6-000rpm-no-power-75719/ )
No real harm done, lots of people have flooded, fixed free under warrenty and gone on with their lives, but if you see evidence of flooding you might lean on them for a better deal claiming someone abused the car. If there is no evidence of flooding you can have extra piece of mind (or evidence they lied or withheld information if you uncover evidence of a prior flood later).
