Wow, I wondering if I'm paying too much. Age 31, clean record. Liability is 100/300. $2,500 deductible on both collision and comprehensive. Premium: $122 per month.

I'm 32 with a clean record, I also have 100/300, but my deductibles are both $250. I pay an average of about $50/mo for my '8, but there are three cars on the policy. I don't pay monthly (just pay twice a year), and because there are three cars, I said "about" $50. The charges on my policy for my '8 alone are just under $300/6 mo. I use Mercury (for 9 years).

Just switched from Progressive to Unitrin.

$500,000 combined single limit (required by my company)

$100/$300 Uninsured Motorist (for all the nuckelheads in FL)

$500 deductible

$755 year with clean driving record.

Unitrin Customer Service isn't open 24/7 like Progressive, but IMO that's a small price to pay for a significant savings.

BTW, my '04 Odyssey is $672 for the year with the same coverage.

I just switched from Geico to Liberty Mutual. Same coverage with both (100/300/100, PIP $2500 ded, comp $250 ded, coll $500 ded, no medical, no rental, no towing) - I'm 48, no point, no accidents, live in Maryland. Geico's was $538 for 6 months, Liberty Mutual's quote was $746 for a full year... then I got another 10% off (my bank is in an LM Group Plan), so down to about $675 per year, incredible. I'd have to guess LM rates the RX8 differently to be that cheap.

I have the same coverage as you with Amex insurance, it's $500/6mo for the RX-8, but $250 deductable. My mustang costs the same, so $1000 per 6 months.

I just did an online quote with Unitrin, and they said:

Your 12 month quote is $3,025.00

Yuck. Wonder why it's so low for you and not for me. I have no points on my record, no accidents in 6 years.

My RX8 is an addition to my Audi allroad. I am paying about $850 (6 months for my Audi). But since I drive both cars 99% of the time (my wife hardly drives at all), it's either i drive one or the other. Knowing that, the insurance only added $230 for 6 months for my RX8. Bottom line - $38/month insurance for my RX8. $250 deductible ... Geico!

Same here. I am pretty much the only driver, and I have two cars. The RX-8 costs $500/6mo with full coverage, the mustang costs $500/6mo with only liability.

I just did a quote with geico, same coverage as I have currently, and they want $1200/6 mo, so $200 over what I have now.

I got a geico quote of 725.30 for a 6mth plan on an '04 VIN at a local dealership. This is their ultra coverage package.

I'm 22 with no tickets/accidents, seems like a fairly good price. Progressive wanted over a 1000 for similar coverage. I haven't checked anywhere else yet.

That's way off....you can call them directly @ 800.437.8394 to confirm. I also have no points/no accidents on my record. Also, Mercury is supposed to have good rates here is Fl, but I think they work through agents.
