Probably. But, before you go and complain, let me say that sometimes you have to hit the pedal a few more than 20 times - AND it must be completed in the first 8 seconds after the key is turned on!

If you can do that, and the needle doesn't sweep, you don't have the "M" flash. Also, there is supposed to be a sticker, either under the hood or in the drivers door jamb, that shows the date and the upgrade performed.

I have complained about the Service "Advisors" attitudes toward customers for a LONG time now. I feel for you.

You can always print the TSB and show them. It very clearly says that ALL cars that have not been updated should be when brought in for service.
