Mine is $384.97...its slightly higher because I upgraded the warranty service to 7 year/100,000 miles.

41 months left at $367.00 a month including taxes. Everything save for Navi and 6 disc changer. I love the car, one of the best I ever owned. I hurt my back and am in the process of having someone assume my lease. I need a bigger car with and auto.

I saw an add in the Auto section of the Boston Sunday Globe and the past 2 weeks the RX8 (6 spd w/ CD) has been $199 a month for 24 months (no more than 20,000 miles allowed).

I've never been so embarassed by how much money I make... looks like I'll be waiting around 3 or 4 years until the price is dramatically reduced.

0 down, 500$/month, 17,500 miles/year, Brilliant black 6speed GT sport, black and red leather, sticker was 32 thousand and something, wear and tear insurance, i also owed 13,000 on a car worth 9. Considering the fact that I have 17500 miles per year and they paid off my other loan, i guess I didn't get ripped off that bad. Any comments?

w/out much more details, can't really say but i'm guessing you made a pretty poor financial situation, but hey, if you have the money to throw out, that's fine i guess, think again if the dealer paid your loan, it's a business to make money, not to help you out one bit

Whats your point? Yea the dealer paid off my loan. they paid 13,000 for a car i couldn't have gotten any more than 9000 for. So what are you saying? Are you saying that 4,000 dollar difference doesn't mean anything? That is part of the reason why my payments are a little high. I put 0 down, i have 17,500 mile/year, and some insurance so I dont get charged for minor damages. These are all factors that greatly influence your lease price.

$3k down....that's bad. You should never put money down on a lease. Total it or it gets stolen, and that $3k is gone. You're better off just putting that $3k in savings and taking a little of it out every month to make the payment.

Could you give a few more details, such as cap cost, and exactly how much down? I'm looking to lease one optioned similarly with the same 2 year 15k, but with no down payment. My calculations are coming to $430/month....although throwing your down payment against the payments for 24 months, that brings it to $410.

Lease

It's really not that bad a deal. The $3k goes toward the residual value at end of lease. Ther are 3 options 1) Turn the car in walk away. 2) refinance the $17k due to purchase vehicle or 3) pay the $17k in one payment. Either way it's not a bad deal. $3k down plus payments of $150x24= $3600 plus $17000 for buyout after 2 years. Lets see now that would be a total of $23,600 to own the car. Buy the way the Choose & Cruise plan is not really a true lease but a short term finance option with a balloon payment if you choose. Yellow RX-8 6sp Base build date 5/04. 12k miles a year. 2 year commitment.

No it doesn't. The $3k is "cap cost reduction" and has nothing to do with the residual. The residual is the same if you put $0 or $10k down. Cap cost reduction reduces the cap cost, as the name implies, and thus reduces the payments. Thus, the fact still remains that it is STUPID to put money down on a lease.

Here's another hint for all wouldbe lessees.....DON'T GET A LEASE IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE MATH!
