Leasing the 8 questions and discovery

In working with a local Mazda dealer they have given me the $3500 24 month lease allowance, the $1000 your invited mailer incentive but they do not see the $750 dealer incentive listed on Edmunds in their incentives list. Is there any information I could provide to them that could assist in their "discovery" of it?

The current deal so far with just over the phone discussion.
MSRP $31200
Sale Price $29345
Incentives -$4500
Cap Cost $24845
Money Factor .00370 for 720+ credit
Residual for 15k miles 63% $19656

Clearly I believe they can come further down in their sale price but I haven't stepped in the dealership yet.

Anyone in the SD/LA area see better pricing, if so which dealers? Thanks everyone.

I am also looking for this info. so I don't have your answer, but I would like to know how you got them to agree to the $1000 "your invited mailer" did you tell them you have it? And if so do you?
This is really good information you post, thank you... I am looking to buy/lease at the end of the month...

I do have the invited mailer and I believe you must have it to get the additional $1000 off. It also looks like they have upped the money factor for top tier credit.

Money Factor too high?

IMHO, that money factor seems a bit high for someone with very good (720+) credit. A money factor of .00370 translates to an interest rate of 8.88% (multiply the money factor by 2400). A quick search around here revealed rates from 5% to 7.4% (give or take).

Just my .02 ...

Good luck!

How about someone with 780 rating? A dealer I contacted said I should be able to get less than 2% for a lease but I do not know if he was just saying that to get me to run down there or not, has anyone been given a 2% rate?
(I hope this is helping this thread, not stealing it too badly )

That money factor is way too high...my credit score was similar and my MF was .0019

Good luck...

Try using LeaseWizard to verify whether or not the rates are competitive. It costs, but could save you in the end.

Unfortunately lease rates (money factors) are not as simple as conventional loans where great credit gets you great rates. Great credit does help but lease rates are heavily controlled by the manufacturer. In the case of the 24 month lease rate Mazda has kept the money factor very high because they are offering significant cash subsidies. If you move down to a 36 month lease you can get a lower money factor but also lose $1000 in incentives. This was true with the deals running through August, I'm not sure where things stand for September.
