Looking to Get an R3, Used or Wait Until Mazda discount?
Hi, Im looking to trade in my 07 MS3 for an R3. I have found a couple used with 4xxx miles for around $24K. Would this be a good deal or does anyone else think Mazda will offer huge discounts again like last year? Thanks.

Some of the used '09s floating around right Carfax as former Mazda fleet vehicles. Does this mean they were road test victims, and that if someone were to buy one, they'd end up with something that had been abused by an 20 different automotive "journalists" for 200 miles each?

From searching local dealer inventory, it certainly looks like dealers have been more hesitant to order RX8s in 2010 (compared to a year ago). This means that there will be less inventory later this year when the MY2011 start rolling out.
I'd look for a used R3 from a private party that has some owner history.

R3ROD- I'd scour the country for a new leftover '09. You can get one for about what you're seeing the used ones with 4xxx miles going for....and you NEVER have to wonder how those first 4xxx were put on. I bought a blue one about month ago (April 7) for $24,850.
I agree with kster, I think dealers are buying less of them this year, so even if they do offer the same deals on leftover '10s (anybody's guess there), there will likely be far less to be had than last year. Besides, why wait!?!?

I wouldn't bother with a 'like-new' used R3 simply because I'd always wonder how it was treated for those first few thousand miles.
[Edit: First post in a year an a half. I've finally graduated from lurker academy.]

Nouvellion,
Where are you located?
I'm kinda in the same boat. Would like to get an R3, but would suck to see a 4k off sale again soon after. What are dealers selling them for? Is invoice or less possible? (in Socal area)

The '09 R3 I mentioned sold a few days ago, unfortunately.
The key really is finding a dealer desperate to unload a new '09 to make room for a '10 if you want a deal like that anytime soon.

I was gonna say, time for a road trip! Hard to find that in Socal.. Though I did get a quote at 29050. Maybe I'll wait a couple months see if the mega-deals start rolling in then bite.
