My Rx8 Insurance Experience
First off I'd like to say that I love the rx8. I have been eyeing the car for over 4 years now, and now I can finally afford to get one.
I have finally found the perfect rx8. Grand Touring, without a moonroof (I am too tall to fit in one with a moonroof). I was very close to purchasing it this morning until I called my insurance company for a quote.
My insurance is with 21st century insurance company, and they wanted more to insure an RX8 than they do to insure a corvette! I find this completely and utterly ridiculous. So this is my rant... I can afford to buy the car... just not afford to drive it... Now I get sad when I pass by an rx8 on the road...

If I were you, I would get price quotes from several insurance companies.
Recently, I asked my insurance company for quotes on the RX-8 and the Mazdaspeed3. The RX-8 was about $50 less to insure for a six-month period.
It does depend on your driving record and age, but an RX-8 should not cost more to insure than a Corvette.
