need you guyz help! CPI certificate???

hay family, ill start from the begining so things will go smoothly-

i turned my insurence coverage off a few months back because the premium was a lil steep (550 a month) and i would not be driving it all winter so at the present moment my car was not insured- or so i thought!!

this afternoon i recieve a letter from my bank telling me they have taken the liberty of providing me with insurence for the next 12 monththe letter is entitled "NOTICE OF PLACEMENT OF INSURENCE" the premium is 1,784 for 12 month against my past $6,600 for 12 months, go figure that seems great to me!

now i have a few questions and this was the first place i knew i can come to for some answers:

1.is my car officially insured
2. can i expect to pay a crap load of doe in the long run
3.i know im not covered so is this basically a liability coverage
4. if i bring this paper to the DMV and they ask for proof of insurence will this be an acceptable document to show

the reason im asking these questions is because if this is actually coverage for my car i would take this instead of paying 6,000 a year! thank you all in advance for your help

Read the policy to see exactly what is covered.

You need to add "Liability" insurance to protect yourself.

You'll probably have to contact an insurance company and purchase "Liability only" coverage; check with the bank though.
