New Jersey/Pennsylvania Mazda dealers
Hello everyone. Has anyone bought a RX8 in the New Jersey area? If so, is there a dealer you would recommend. I live in the Trenton area and would appreciate any suggestions.
I just got the ok from the wife about purchasing one. Thanks for any help.

There are several dealers in the area. Open Road Mazda in Edison, Crystal Mazda in Greenbrook (had 40 in stock 2 wks ago), Flemington Mazda.
I purchased mine from Flemington Mazda last week (Dec 9th). They had about a dozen in stock at the time. I think I got a pretty good deal - Titanium, Touring Package, 6spd, 6-CD changer, Cassette, spoiler, spare tire kit - all for about $1800 off of sticker price.

I live in Bucks county PA, but work in Princeton, NJ. I purchased my 8 two weeks ago from Faulkner Mazda in Phili (just outside, near Nesahamity).
Although I purchased my 8 via Mazda S-plan (work employee discount), I beleive they were selling above invoice.
Speak with Renee Fargason. She is nice and professional.
PM me for details. I think there is a referal program as well.
Good luck.

Irish,
So no go on the Faulkner service? Bad experience? Thanks for the heads up. I'll not be going there. Acutally, I will be doing almost all the standard maintenance myself.
I did have Fualkner install my snow tires on the 8s OE wheels. On my way out, I told the service manager that I hoped not to see him again (jokingly).
As far as the S-Plan discount I received. Our company offeres disounts on Ford products. And since Mazda (as well as Volvo, Jag, etc) fall under Ford, I was able to get the 8 at just a little over cost. The S-plan has been mentioned before. I don't think its something someone can just aquire or sign up for. This was offered through my employer.
Reason why I went to Faulkner is that they had the exact 8 I was looking for as well as it's proximity to me. Glad to hear you were able to get a better deal at Pacifico.
Irish, do you get better service at Pacifico. And or have you tried an alternate dealership for service yet (just in case I have service issues)?

I work at Maple Shade Mazda, which is about 30 minutes down 295 South (I live right next to Trenton myself). We have a good number of RX-8's in stock (I'm pretty sure we have the largest selection in the tri-state area, automatic and manual). Actually, our whole inventory is up on our website, if you want to take a look, it's at:
http://www.msmazda.com/newsite/2004rx8.html
You can scroll through the whole list... the ones that are in stock right now say "IN STOCK - IMMEDIATE DELIVERY". The others are on order and they'll be here in 2 - 4 weeks. If you want to test drive one or have any questions or anything, call me up at 856-667-8004, and ask for me, my name is Sumeet. Or even easier, just drop me an e-mail at clns@yahoo.com.
Oh, also, if you're worried about service, the service department over here gives you a free loaner car whenever your car is being serviced, so you're never stuck without a car, so they try to help you out as much as possible.
Take a look at the website and drop me an e-mail, let me know what you're looking for.

faulkner prices at msrp... and pacifico was selling above that initially, at least when I was looking. Talk to bruce at faulkner.
the service department at faulkner I'm not sure about. what were the specific issues with them?

Got my 8 at North Penn in Colmar PA (Bucks County)....good people ....good price....excellent service....I've been dealing with them for years. See Tim Nortelli- the "BEST" salesperson I have ever encountered in my years of buying cars! !

Hamilton Mazda is very close to you. They took good care of me. Ask for "Rocky" and say that Travis sent you if go there. Anyway, good luck and I hope you get a great deal wherever you wind up. I don't know how much Hamilton is discounting at this point, but I preordered and paid no markup fee.

Actually their service seemed just okay. They tried telling me not to over oil my car. I brought my RX8 in for a 3000 mile service and 5000. I never heard of actually 'over oiling', I could be wrong. The service also took 3 hours - way to long for my liking. Pacifico was alittle better, perhaps I personally got a good deal there....
Maple Shade Mazda is pretty close, it sounds good - I'll be checking that out, especially if they are cool with loaners.
A RX8 get together sounds awesome. I would be up for that - 10 RX8's outside starbucks coffee - now that would be some photo!!
All the best

Where in Bucks are you Al. I am up in Yardley, but the girlfriend works in Princeton. I have seen a few 8's in the area, so far 1 black, 1 red and 1 titanium. Could of been any one of us...

Just test drove the 8
Hey guys i just test drove the RX8 at Hamilton mazda. The salesman was very nice and didn't pressure me at all. I told him I was looking to buy in a month. I didn't want to talk about the price because I wasn't going to buy one today anyway.
Anyone purchase a car from this dealership? If so, how much of a discount did you get of the MSRP?
thanks.

Good to hear Speed_racer..keep in mind the buy back program for those folks who bought 8's during summer. We got free maintanance and $500 dollars cash back..approx 1600 total ( i think ). If you mention that, it may help you get a better deal.

I'm buying from NuCar in Del. I'll be buying thru the S plan. It's a great plan thru fordpartners.com. If you qualify, you can pick the 8 up for invoice. NuCar has about 50 in stock. All colors and options. My biggest problem is deciding what color. The only thing I do know is the interior color. Black with red. I'm stuck between Black, silver or Ti.
This has been a great site for information. Thanks for all the posts. This is the first time I will know most of the problems before I drive off the lot. I now all the fixes. Great Stuff! Look forward to meeting all you drivers at the meets. Go4It will be Went4It next week........

Does anyone know what happens when you buy a car from out of state. How do u pay the sales tax? If I live in NJ and buy a car in Delaware, how do i register it in NJ?
Thanks.
