Nicest RX8 I've seen for sale lately
I wish I was in the market right now. There's no way I could resist bidding on this car... and I don't even like silver.

I zoom therefore I am.
That's an awesome price for all the MS parts thrown in...
it must be nice to look at a full mazdaspeed catalog for the rx8 and say "yep, i'll take one of everything"

it hasnt met reserve yet so its probably 30k+ reserve w/ no leather, no navi, and no 6 disc but it does have every mazdaspeed piece that can be thrown on a car to add weight.

Aww-don't be mean.
Whoa Guys...!! I just read this thread..a little bit of ''flaming'' from the other owners..kinda suprised me to be honest.
This car is like a MAZDASPEED poster car. Oh! and that funny little exhaust sounds incredible & wakes up the car a lot, we thought the 'fart cans' were for little boys in automatic Civics ! Anyway, The guy that did all this stuff to this car hates unsprung weight so wouldn't have things like Navigation,Moonroof & Xenon's GIVEN ! Also Leather seats look worn out within 2 months, all shiny on the drivers seat bolsters & you slip around in them, they are hot in summer , cold in winter PLUS more Innocent Japanese cows have to get 'whacked' !

Adoinsti, I don't think anyone is flaming the car, just wondering what the thought behind all the MS parts was.
Yes, the car is a MSpeed poster child and that I think is where some of the fricition comes from. Not everything MSpeed makes is the best thing for a car. Yes it keep the warranty but some people prefer other brands.
As far as leather looking worn out... cleaner + conditoner on a regular basis keeps the seats looking brand new.
The car is a great looking car, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You are right, we JUST wanted no aftermarket parts whatsoever on it .
..we did the same thing with an STI last year- matched a JDM Spec C Type RA all most exactly- ( I bought that one) and I can't even drive that car without anyone under thirty almost passing out ! (group hug-group hug) all better now.

I'm not trying to bash anyone who likes this style, but the OP needs to understand that not everyone likes this. I think all the cosmetic MS stuff is awful looking.

A couple of points.
You have sprung and unsprung weight confused.
Thank you for not using as many exclamation points in this post as you did in the last. I'm easily excitable.
Nobody was bashing the car or flaming the owner too much. If that were the case I'm sure people would be all over the gratuitous use of "JDM" in the listing.
JDM B-Pillar applique.
Tell your friend good luck with the sale.

BTW, My personal opinion is that if this car was Velocity Red, it would be that much better. Screw leather and sunroof. I agree with the car owner about the weight, but if that was really a concern, I would've opted out of the peripheral MS "dress up" parts. I mean I can definitely see its appeal. It looks great, but it adds weight. I doubt it gives any real performance advantage. I might've used all that body kit money on the most lightweight flywheel available, plus an improved shorter final drive ratio (if available for the RX8).
Having said that, it is still the nicest RX8 I've seen for sale lately. 550 miles, 2006, tons of MS goodies, a very enthusiastic (and loaded) owner. I'm just sorry he'll never get anywhere near the money back that he spent on this car.
If you have spotted any used RX8's that you think are intriguing, please post the URL. I hope this is the right section. I suppose the "for sale" section would be a valid choice too.

I personally love this car. I think the original MS kit is still one of the nicest available, really fleshes the car out. Did the winning bidder end up with it? *When* I finally snag an 8, I'm hoping for a Sport with cloth and no moonroof as well...

There was no winning bidder as it did not reach the reserve we were asking-I re -listed it this morning & reduced the reserve by $2800.
I really hope sombody here buys it as it really would we wasted on a non entusiast of the RX Cars. Cheers A.

Well, if you're *really* wanting an enthusiast that would really appreciate the car, I got like $20 I could mail you right now. I'd even come up there and deliver it in person!
