What's going on everyone? I am new to the forum (obviously) and I am thinking about buying a new rx-8 as my new vehicle (currently have a civic si).
I have been doing a little research and have found out some interesting things about the car (mainly that it purposely consumes oil to save the apex seal, very neat).
However, I have not found a definitive answer to a certain question I have (before I make the plunge and rid my life of my piston-inspired friend.
The next generation rx8's (if I am not mistaken) will have direct injection (as some of the mazda's already do). Would it be wise to wait for the change over? Will there be that much of a difference that I would want that one over the current?
I am assuming these questions cannot be answered in a concrete manner as there will be opinions based on disi and its capabilities, limitations, etc.
I would though like to hear what people think or how they feel the next iteration of the rotary will prevail or demise. Thanks in advance!

The next generation 16x will definitely be a considerable advance over the current Renesis. BUT, there's no guarantee that it will be come to market and when. Probably at least a couple of long years driving around in a Civic. Maybe longer.
