yes with nav. they did whine at me about that. Because by ther standards they were giving it to me. but what was really happing was they were adding to ther monthly sales total without messing up there own inventory. So dont give in

What in the world are you talking about. $26680 is sticker price for a base model RX8. The GT is $4k more that includes all the goodies like leather, bose audio, moonroof, power and heated seats, ect ect ect . Either you are digging your own ditch in complete BS, or you have no idea what GT means. $26680 is the msrp on a base model rx8. You definitely do not have a GT, and your posts make no sense, HENCE the term BS. If you did get car for $24700, then you roughly similiar to all the offers bmcc49er is getting.

This is the offer I believe I am going with tomorrow. Nordic Green, 67 miles, they are going to M flash and do the AC TSB tomorrow. Sport Package, 6 cd, spoiler, spare tire $24,739, sticker was 29,800. I think with all the shopping I did this is pretty decent. Sport package and cd alone is 1700 worth of options. With my trade in I should finance around 18,700 and I am preapproved at just over 4 %. Anyone think I should hold off more? Advise much appreciated...

TAKE IT. That's nearly $2500 below invoice, and probably the best deal anyone can ever see on a brand new rx8. Naturally, we hope car is perfect in every way, so you'll find out soon enough. As nice as it is for people who waited to buy, if this keeps up, it's going to absolutely destroy the value of this car. Congrats on a absolutely super deal. I am stunned. I cannot believe how desparate mazda has gotten, because the RX8 is selling for cheaper then any other car out there. That is a bad sign. WOW!!!!

Sports package... ahh there we go... a Bit different from Touring or GT... :P

I kinda regret not going for Sports just for the seats.. leather sucks. DSC is whatevers... Heated mirror? Blah... Could have prolly saved more dough.

To Thew, I also paid about 75% of the car, and no way was I going to get a GT with Nav for 25k... that's just amazing. I paid 22k in CASH, and the rest I financed with 2.9%.

Vike, If I do it tomorrow I will tell you how it went down. I told them since I am traveling a good distance when I leave this driveway that is the deal they better stick with. I can only hope that this doesn't indicate anything about the future, just that they are so overstocked and the 05's are knocking at their door. Car was delivered there in Dec. I don't think thats much to worry about because I am sure alot of them have been at dealers that long and the 67 miles indicates it hasn't been testdriven to hell and back...

A 6MT with GT and Navi is invoice at $29,700 (I round it to $30,000 with the destination charge), or $33,000 sticker.

I think it's a technical impossibility for you to have gotten it for $24,000, even if you slept with the sales person and had his baby. You couldn't even get this deal if you leased it and had the $3500 cash incentive.

I know what a GT + Navi cost because that is exactly what my car is.

wow 30,000 big mark up in Fla !!

no sleeping with anyone just about a month of working the deal mostly over the phone.
The person selling it to me was new and i was not ..

I think the biggest thing is that I got a number off the web from a dealer down south. They said they would beat it. Getting the Nav for Free was basicly to keep me from walking .

I got mine at Galpin, but researched and checked at Tustin, Irvine, Cerritos, Norco, Long Beach, Walnut (City of Industry), and even a dealership in SD.

For 25k for a brand new GT, with Nav is amazing. Not saying I doubt you or anything... just saying that's amazing.

Wow... getting the Nav thrown into the package for free? Whoa.. that's major negotiation... they wouldn't budge on that with all the dealerships I went to. It was like 1800 or something invoice ... and wouldn't move on that. So I didn't buy the Nav.

What he doesn't understand is the dealers have something called dealer holdback, and the dealers have random incentives from mazda, but no way any of that could add up to a $6,000 discount unless the car was used. Simply put, the dealership would be losing thousands to sell it that low.

What's the hold back? 3%? We should be able to figure out the lowest cost the car could go for.

I'm almost tempted to go buy a GT Nav White for 25k at that price and use my Silver as the daily driver... wonder which LA dealership is giving that deal.

Sorry your thread got turned into a bogus bs forum. lol Definitely let me know how this turns out. Stay cautious, because sometimes deals that seem too good to be true can be, but hopefully the car will be perfect, and everything will go smoothly.

I'm trying to give benefit of doubt that he thinks he has a GT when he really doesn't. Those are the only explanations. If he does have the GT, he did not pay $24700 for it, if he doesn 't have GT, then it's actually possible he got it for $24700. There is no arguing it. YOu cannot get a Gt with Navi for $24700. Dealer is actually losing money.

Hmmm, 67 miles isn't all that bad, but still, that could be a half dozen test drives.

Also, delivery date doesn't mean anything, it's the build date that you want to look at.

From what I've read, cars built in Dec and even Nov have been okay, earlier than that and you risk having a car that might have the AC issues or the dreaded 13 mpg `no matter how you drive` problem.

Of course everything could be okay. Maybe you can get them to give you a full day test drive so you can see the mpg?

I figured for the price 67 miles was ok. I need the build date. When they call back I will ask them, thanks forgot about that...
