6MT w/ Brilliant Black/Black-Chaparral Leather, grand touring, appearance, nav, spoiler, 6cd changer
$32508 including 6% tax, title, plates, delivery - complete.
And yes, jump on the deals in July (maybe August and beyond). This was all done with the "S" plan (partner discount via Ford/Mazda). There is a $750 stairstep (or some name like that) rebate out there to move non-lease cars. Lease is even better, if you're into that approach (I wasn't).

Let me understand this right. You got a fully loaded 35k+ msrp car for $32508 incuding tax, or $32508 +6% tax, which makes it $34500. If your out the door price was $32508, that means you got for $30,500 ($1800 below invoice.) THAT"S SICKENING!!! Mazda dealers are definitely getting desparate are cutting their losses and letting them go. That's not a good sign for the future of rx8s though. I'm stunned!!! Was this some sort of employee discount hook up you got, or can anyone go where you went and get 1800 off msrp now?

It was a year old car (mfg 08/03). It had grand touring and nav. It was the end of the month, and nearly that of the sales model year. I've heard that loaded cars were harder to move. I did my best.
I walked in with a folder 1/4 inch thick with Edmund's, RX8club, TSB printouts, and other references. I said we would start discussions at invoice, not MSRP.
We shook hands and I was assured that it was a pleasure to do business with me. I'm smiling right now...
And I have ALL OF YOU IN THE FORUM to thank for all of the advice and comments that I have scanned over the months prior to this deal. Thank you one and all for you efforts and experience. I am truly grateful to you.
