opinion pls ??!!

i just went to test drive a 6mt at a dealer tdy with my wife and i really fell in love with it. i bought AT at first bcos i dont how to drive stick but my wife is good at stick.

i bought this GT Ti 9700 miles on it 5 months ago at 22000. it now has 16500 miles
. (KBB trade in value 21600 and dealer offered me 20000). i found the color combination that i like and for the trade in......my monthly payment will become 530 for 66 months with no down. GT package with two tone leather. i am still trying to push down the price. will finance thru bank (not MAC) at 5.9%. the car is 500 under invoice come out abt 29210. i put 5k on my TI 8 and still owe 18500.

what u guys think abt the quote that i am now getting from the dealer ?

Not even counting the interest if you pay that loan out to term thats about 35K, add the interest over 40K for an 8?

Correct, forget I said anything about interest. I got off track when you said you wouldn't take their interest rate. So, yes, 34,980. Is it brand new?

doesnt that hurt your ego?? haha jp jp

uhmm i dont think it's worth all that money to be honest. do you really want to pay that much more for the same car in manual? i know yes you will get more power and feel alot younger :D but i think it's a bad move financially...
if you can afford to lose that much money then go for it, but if you're in a tight spot right now, or in a risky business that fluctuates i suggest keeping the auto.

maybe keep driving the auto until a newer version (supercharged? Mazdaspeed?) rx8 comes out? maybe 07? plus the 06 is suppose to come with new colors! or wait for the end of the year incentives!

considering i am planning to make the purchase by trading in my current 8, doesnt it make them to honor my trade in value lesser if i wait till end of the year when mazda starts putting out incentives to clear their 05 ??

good point... haha sorry. i guess your right and wasnt thinking clearly :/

hmm... i still stand by my opinion however, that unless you can afford to lose a few thousand dollars and financially stable enough to do this trade, you shouldnt go through with it.
but i'm guessing since you are considering it, i'm guessing you are willing to lose a chunk of money in this trade in?

i appreciate yr feedback and am totally agree with it. i am now in the dilemma of fulfilling my ego or face the reality of losing some hardearned cash on this trade in. luckily i didnt buy my current 8 new so my lost wud be around 3500 for this 6 months flirting with my current baby. others have any other opinon ??

Be patient grasshooper. First try to selling your 8 privately. We are in August, if you can hold off a little bit longer you can probably get a better deal. Have you tried shopping around? Don't even mention a trade untill you get the price you want.

Do you have to get a new 8? You've already bought a slightly used 8. You can get a hell of a deal on used 8's. Private seller of form the dealers!

Unless you can't wait and just eat the loss.
