A lot of people seem to take advantage of the rarety of the rotary engine.
I bought an '04 with a bad engine cheap, got on the internet to find an engine. 1 with 100,000 miles, $1000, 2 with 30,000 miles, $2500, rebuilt gauranteed, $3500.00.
Then someone on this site suggested a dealership. I called North Point Mazda in North Little Rock, Arkansas, they quoted $2500. I called back 2 days later and ordered the engine and the price had went down to $2200, when it got here yesterday they charged me $2001 plus $90 for gaskets.
People are making a killing because noone wants to work on the cars.
