Question Should I buy an RX-8??

Ok, I've been looking up info about tons of different types of cars that are RWD, look sporty, be able to do some modifications to them, and are great to drive. The only problem is that most I look at are over my price range, which is 15k. The first time I saw an RX-8, I automatically fell in love with them. I have some questions about whether or not to get one.

1. Has there been any real major recalls Mazda has done for them?

2. Are they pretty reliable?

3. Are Rotary cars as good as Piston cars?

I found one RX-8 that I liked: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true
Is this car even worth the price they're selling? Do you think its a good deal with the options it has and the mileage? I'll probably be going to L.A. at the end of March because I'm taking a vacation (car searching) and there really isn't anyone selling an RX-8 up here in Montana. Please help me decide to get one or not.
Thanks in advance for any response.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

There were some recalls, but not major ones
2. Are they pretty reliable?
Well...its not bad, also you have free 100K miles , 8 years warranty, still worry ?
3. Are Rotary cars as good as Piston cars?
The Rotary engine is more smooth than Piston cars, if u like high reving, then rotary is your choice

Plus you have the enjoyment of telling people you drive a wankel engine, and they'll be like... wtf...

1. Go here and input the vehicle year you are looking at for any recall info.

2. I've had mine since November 2008, so I can't tell you first-hand experience with reliability yet. In regards to the 8 year, 100k mile warranty mentioned before me... keep in mind that covers the internal parts of the engine only.

3. Yes.

Thanks for that link...I had no idea that even existed.. on the question of recalls and tsb's, I understand recalls are covered even if you're out of warranty with your car, does that count for tsb as well? or only if your warranty is still valid?

Were all biased so I can tell you now that all the answers are gonna be yes.

I would spend a extra 3k-4k for a lower mileage rx-8. I spent 15,500 on a 06' touring 6 speed with only 25k on the odo.
