i have heard people getting much better deals ... i feel cheated .. it almost taints my love of the car ..

 

i wouldnt worry about it, enjoy the car for what it is, think 1000 dollars is only about 20 a month. its a great car and forget the money.

 

If you love the car, the purchase price shouldn't matter. Even if you buy a new one at full sticker, the car is still just as fun to drive and still just as attractive. All that means is the short term depreciation will be a bit steeper.

And by buying used, you don't have to go through the break in period. Buying used also means you didn't have to pay sales tax on any dealer or financing rebates, which can add up quickly in my area with 9.5% sale tax. :-(

And also consider that the new buyer was the one that had to deal with any recalls or issues that showed up during the first year- so all of that is taken care of already. But you may actually enjoy hanging out at the Mazda service waiting room and reading old copies of Time and Newsweek, so that may be a moot point for you.


And ifyou still feel bad, then maybe you should wait for Wal Mart to start selling new Chinese cars for $5k (it is going to happen). :-o
