It takes patience that is for sure.
Let me know if you need further guidance

Well, I have not had a chance to open her up whether it be lauching at a light or ripping through local roads. Its nice out, so the cops have been out in force.
Worry not, on Saturday I'll be doing a time attack at NJMP. I'll post my findings after the event. I wish GTSPEC made more parts for the RX8; they really make superb quality products.

GTSPEC 6 pt Upper bar installation issue
Ok, maybe I'm doing this wrong in the absence of any intructions, but I can't fit the pieces which bridge between the firewall and fender. Does anyone have detail pics of this area as installed? The problem is that the side of the trangle running back from the shock tower to the firewall area is too long for the supplied brackets to fit by a substantial amount ~1.5". I'm assuming they serve only to push out against the fender area since there doesn't seem anything to bolt it to. The triangle brace as supplied also seem to be different than the pics on the GTSPEC website, though the factory bag is indeed labelled "RX-8". Can anyone tell me if I have the right pieces and if so, how are the fender brackets fitted?

Also, don't fully tighten any of the bolts until everything is loosely connected.
GL man, this bracing is really really worth the install.

Long weekend, but it's in along with the lower front brace! What confused me was the fender brackets were shipped attached to the wrong side, no biggie once I scrolled down far enough on the GTSPEC web page to find the real instructions after being rescued by Chino0314. It's also not hard to install solo since it's easy to reach the inside and outside of the fender at the same time if the wheel and inner liner are removed completely. I did a little mod to the mod, which I'll document in the "suspension" section along with a driving report later in the week. It certainly is purrdy and the net weight gain is only around 10-11 lbs for both braces.

I had no problems, but my car is practically new with only 14k miles and it's never been in snow/salt/(and for the last 3 years)rain. Rust would make it harder. The bolts are secured with a locking compound which doesn't help either. You might have to resort to an impact wrench at the local muffler shop.

Still don't know what he's talking about. By the way, I had a 600 mile weekend to run down to the Indy RX8 Club Mazdafest and was very pleased how the car ran even on the Interstate. Yes, the front is stiffer, but the ride is not seriously compromised.

I thought i remember reading something during the development of these parts that there was going to be a brake master cylinder brace on the 6-point. Did that not make it in to production or am i just making things up?
