I think this would be functional for me more in the sense that I'm pretty damn low up front...

Not really any benefits per say. Just a bit more sturdy than the OEM tray but this one is missing the uprights so I would find a way to incorporate the factory ones. I would also like to know the weight of it. This tray is almost right, it just sucks they made one tray for both the right hand drive and left hand drive 8's so you end up with two huge holes in it which make effect the pressure needed to feed air through the radiator.

I believe the tray is deigned to use the factory uprights, I think you drill out the rivets and bolt the aluminum tray to the stock plastic uprights.
I believe it weighs in around 12-15lbs, being so low on the car, I dont think anyone would notice the extra few pounds.
