IDA manifold with throttle body injection.

IDA manifold with throttle body injection.
Has anyone fitted an ida style manifold with either an IDA carburetor or IDA injection throttle body?
im wanting to know if it fits without hitting the firewall.
Cheers

The 3-rotor renesis he was going to build, of course. How's that going?
If you get one made for an RX8 it shouldn't hit anything. Racecast makes one, contact them. I would be surprised if anyone here has fitted one, because it's a large step backwards in performance and driveability. But maybe you have something special in mind.

Im wanting to fit a FC 13b bridgeport into an rx8. Was curious to see who has done something similar and if an off the shelf ida manifold will fit. Still unsure if ill run carburetor or injection

thanks for clarifying it, got rid of the unrelated posts to avoid cluttering this any worse than it already is.
It may just depend on which specific manifold you use, because the engine position on the RX8 is further back into the firewall. If it’s a single large bore IDA centered on the middle iron plate turning 90* or 180* it likely won’t be an issue. I’d be doubtful that the straight out to the side type is going to fit, but never put any effort into evaluating the intake port positions relative to that side on the chassis. That type sticks way put to the side though, like way out there. If it’s a multiple ITB type with individual tubes, two smaller IDAs mounted side-side, etc. it would likely require getting into the specifics of how it’s positioned relative to the center iron and such to make that determination.
So when you’re looking at the Renesis manifold in the chassis it doesn’t look like there’s a lot of room. In reality though, Mazda looped the the Renesis LIM way out and then back in with smooth, large radius turns. Once you ever see a 13B in there without an intake on it then you realize there’s a lot more space to the chassis from the engine. The Racing Beat Renesis Adapter plate with 13B 4-barrel carb manifold fits. So that gives you some idea of the space available. HTHs.
