Botd 2008: Registration Now Open!!!!

Hey Everyone,
As of today, registration is now open!! Please find all details below as well as on the website: www.rx8botd.com/registration.htm

Please make sure to note the change in accommodations this year: www.rx8botd.com/accomodations.htm

Costs:
There will be a few costs associated with this event.
(A) Registration Fee will be $80.00. Registration Fee is per person and must be paid in order to receive a confirmation number to make your lodging reservations.

Registration Includes: Prizes, 1 T-Shirt per person, one raffle ticket per person, stickers, sponsorship giveaways, access to all group discounts, and much more

Registration also includes 4 catered meals provided by Nantahala Village.

(B) Lodging Rates at Nantahala Village. You are required to register and pay the registration fee in order to receive a confirmation number to give to Nantahala Village and make your reservations. Visit the "Accommodations" page to review the rates.

Registration and Enrollment Process:
1) First, you must ENROLL by filling out and submitting the online form at the bottom of this page.

2) You will then be taken to the PayPal page where you will then pay the registration fee of $80.00 per person via PayPal, using the PayPal link provided.
Sorry, PayPal payment is all we are accepting this year.

3) After you make your PayPal Payment, you will be taken to the "Event Waiver Page". You must Print and Fill out the Waiver/Disclaimer form along with PROOF OF INSURANCE (Copy of your insurance CARD or POLICY statement) and Email, Fax or Mail it to us. Proof of Insurance is required in order to attend the event as a participant!

5) Once this fee is paid you will receive a confirmation number via email so that you may register with Nantahala Village. Sent with your confirmation number will be a phone number to call to make your reservations. Be aware that you will have to place a Credit Card on your account at Nantahala Village in order to confirm your reservation AND you will be charged the first nights lodging when you make your reservations.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:
Cancellation of lodging reservation may be made up to 2 weeks before the event with a fee of $20.00. If cancellations are made after the 2 week cutoff date then there will be a full one night rental charged to your credit card. (Resort policy, not ours).

Cancellation of Registration can be done up to August 20, 2008 with a $5 Cancellation Fee. Cancellations after August 20, 2008 will only receive a 50% refund (due to items already ordered based on registration #'s).

Final Notes:
Included in this event will be many EXCITING activities to include but not limited to...

Dragon Introduction (Safety Information & Driving Tips)

Technical Demonstrations by sponsoring vendors

Car Care Demonstrations

Trophy Ceremony

White Water Rafting

And as all of us know from previous years ENDLESS PARTYING

Oh and DON'T FORGET THE DRAGON!

We hope that we can provide one of the best car events any of us have ever attended; I want to assure you that there has been extensive planning going on behind the scenes by the Brotherhood of the Dragon Planning Team. We all hope that everyone here can make it and we will be happy to entertain any questions you guys may have. Please forward all questions to admin@rx8botd.com.

We also ask that you spread the word to everyone on the Boards about the event!!!!!

Nantahala Village Resort:
The central location for this year's event will be the Scenic Hantahala Village Resort and Spa located in Bryson City, North Carolina. Just a few miles from everything!

Special lodging rates have been negotiated for this event, and are much more cost-effective; plus there is space for a much larger gathering. Many "side" activities are available - including white-water rafting, paint-ball, horse-back riding, mountain railroad trips, restaurants on site, gas station on site, car wash stations, and many others.

To check out the accommodations, click here www.nvnc.com

The special rates for our group include: Book by June 15, 2008: Receive 25% off

Book between June 15 and July 15, 2008: Receive 15% off

Book between July 15 and September 15, 2008: Receive 10% off

These are not "per person" rates. The rate is for the cottage/suite chosen.

Each participant is responsible for making their (or their group's) reservations, and are responsible for payment directly to Nantahala Village. You will be charged the first night's rental when you make your reservations. Any balance due is payable at check-out.

The above rates will also apply to 1, 2, or 3 nights for those who can't be with us for the full 4 nights of the event.

We have a "block" of accommodations reserved for our event. The cut-off date for making reservations at the special rates is 09/15/2007. After this date there is no assurance that space will be available.

(√) Cancellations made up to 2 weeks before the event will be refunded the first night's rental cost less a $20.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event will be charged the full rental charge for the first night.

(√√) You must register for the event, and get a confirmation number before making your reservations or you won't receive the group discount.
See "Registration".

One thought was to have the HQ's in the Condo's #25-#28 & #29-#32, it's near the "playground". Also walking distance to the Lodge, where as you know, all the action takes place during the day.

Hey, someone tell me where you all are staying, what type of lodging? Don't wanna be all by myself and no one here in DFW will commit so...looking for a small room close to everyone I guess. Ha, may already be too late for the discount but I'm gonna try to squeeze it in anyway if I hear back from you guys!! Lemme know!!

Angela, check out the map above. Most of the nightly activities will be around the Condo's (#25-28 & #29-32). I'm in #41 so I'll be within walking distance. Let me know if you need more info.

Oh no John, we were looking at a two bedroom cabin since the price difference I got quoted last night is, like, five dollars more a night! That way we can have some leeway if some more DFW folks jump on board later...anyone stayin' with you?

You remember Dave and his son that stayed at my cabin one night at the Dragon last year? He's coming for the whole event this year, and he's got room #2 in my cabin. What number cabin did you get? I wanna know how far I have to walk!

Not dave from Dallas...or is it? That's awesome. So I called the village again last night and either I misunderstood or the lady misspoke but we won't be in a log cabin, we'll be in a cottage...can't remember if it's historic or treehouse, left the paper at home but whatever-we should be VERY close to you guys, yay!! I can't wait, the suspense is killing me!

Just an update, registration is still pretty small at this point. Don't miss out on the big discount by waiting to long. Also remember registration is required to receive the discount as your Confirmation Number is tied to the discount code. Registration also includes all the FOOD as well as many other goodies we have in store!!!

Alrighty, just FYI John, the Dallas crew will be stayin' in #48-when I looked this afternoon #42 was still open so I rushed home to book it and apparently just missed it-DOH!!

Anyway, not too bad of a walk but not right across the street either-oh well, it's still gonna be a blast!! Where is everyone else stayin? Can't wait to see you guys!!
