^ yep. You can do everything yourself for about $250.00 or so. Rockauto doesn't have the wires though.

Nope I have the BHR ignition kit but if you are low on cash the generics ones should work fine and most autoparts stores offer free replacement warranties on them. I know O'reilly's has some that are not much more with a free lifetime replacement warranty so you cannot lose.

"I wanna go fast!"
do what i did and just order a BHR Ignition kit. Way better and if u do it yourself its half the price.
Hopefully mine gets here in a couple weeks. They got screwed with the coils and only got half the shipment in =/

if any of you think Mazda make those coils themselves then you must be smoking crack. Its probably made by NipponDenso at Mazda's request.
I have them on my car and I have no issues, its made in Japan, Lifetime warranty. Cheaper than buying from Mazda. I can pretty much swap them out every year for a brand new pair, even if I have to pay for shipping it still a deal that cannot be beat.
I still have a set of "Mazda" coils in my garage collecting dust. I don't see any reason to use it now as these Intermotor coils doing just fine, and again, it has a lifetime warranty. something Mazda will never be able to offer![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As for OP's post, you can't blame them cuz most dealership charge MSRP for all their parts. we're smart we don't fall for that ---- there are enough sheeps out there to keep the dealerships alive lol you're in NJ? pay me 100 I travel over to your home and install everything for you. I'm serious. lol

bro prior to buying the 8 I had no car knowledge. I rwad through the diys and I became somewhat aware of the projects I would be able to perform myself... I'm talking about not even taking a wheel off before (exaggerating) n I was able to do the tune up myself...besides before I did the tune up they were trying to charge me 90 dollars for just replacing the filter when I was able to buy the filter for 30. It only took about 10 minutes to replace it myself..
