The door actually held up pretty well, the lift wasn't moving fast enough to penetrate the inside, but my windows were rolled down so new glass is needed.

By the way, after driving this M3 all weekend I have a new found appreciation for BMW's. The new 08 M3 may take my love for the new Camaro away, to bad it will cost 20K more (or more). I guess I have a year to get a raise or get a higher paying job Maybe once I finish my MBA in December I can request a 20K raise

DD, look into the 1 series when it comes out early 08. The upscale trim will have the 300hp twin turbo that is in the 3 series now, plus it will be lighter.

Although the guy I know that you passed in the M3 a few weeks ago told me that apparently they've been having some trouble with the twin turbo overheating in the 3 series on the track. But I'm guessing they'll be fixing that soon.

Well it seems they got a drivers side door instead. He pdf'd me a copy of the order form to prove they ordered the right part. I guess the supplier messed up. Now I won't get a door until early Friday. He said he can have it done by Saturday. So my event this weekend is no more

Wow, that really sucks that you had to go through that.

Its good to see people stepping up and taking responsibility for their actions (or their employee's) and doing what's right.
Enjoy the beemer, hope your 8 comes back to you as good as new.

That's pretty annoying. Accidents always happen - but it's the preventable ones that really suck. Seriously: who the f8ck leaves a brakeless fork lift to roam a parking lot??

Hope everything is fixed right. Not sure I would have left it up to the guys that don't bother fixing a busted forklift though.

Erin doesn't want to drive all the way out there and pay for two nights at a hotel if I'm not driving If I get my car gets fixed by Sat. I may go to an auto-x event at Miller Park.

My wife has strong feelings against it. Since she allowed me to spend close to 3K this summer on track events I need to respect her wishes. I'm buttering her up for next season With a kid on the way in Feb. I need all the brownie points I can get.

Uhhhh, yea, I know that one well! By the way, I'm really sorry to hear about the damage to your car. Hope she's well soon.

Since you are done for the year start practicing your heel-toe shifting for next season. It will so greatly increase your enjoyment and decrease your lap times.
