So yeah, looks like he'd be able to easily walk over you in a stock MT RX-8.

Are you saying SOME people actually get MORE HP then they paid for??? Holy Heck! Mazda, are you READING this? SOME car makers ACCURATELY rate their car's engine's HP....others still CHARGE you for 205hp, but GIVE you something like 250. Yet Mazda seems content to 'sell' 232 HP but only deliver about 215.

You either need to learn to appreciate the RX-8 for what it is or go trade it in... There are a lot of cars out there that are faster or pretty damn close to a stock RX-8, if that really bugs you then you bought the wrong car. Hell, even if you added a Greddy kit you'd still see taillights on cars like the Cobalt SS SC and SRT-4 if they just have a few basic boltons.

Buy a WRX STI, EVO or Z if you want more power. Don't you know your own car or read the board?
You need to keep up on your sporty cars. The Cobalt SS is a killer starting around $20K.

ok, for all you anti front wheel drive nuts. I wouldn't put to much into the rear wheel drive thing these days. A rsx -s beat out 10 rx8's in the grand am cup a few weeks ago and the new lightning lap that car and driver use's for total performance on the virginia inter. speedway had a cobalt SS finish half a sec behind the rx8. Thats half a sec behind with front wheel dirve. Obviously this car handles almost just as well as the 8.
Also, the SS engine is way over engineered. The lowest number I hear you can get out of it without internal upgrades is pushing 450 hp. Like it or not, Gm did an outstanding job on the cobalt...

Not sure if this is something most people have seen, but:
Track Times:
BMW M3 = 350Z = RX8

you're right, it does get old. and yet every week you will see someone else posting that they got smoked off the line. i wish i could see a day in the future where people realize what this car is and isn't and enjoy what they have but i know that's not in the cards.
btw, interesting shot. not sure if it's a repost but i hadn't seen it.
