Famous quotes that he may be regretting

"these are the safest batteries in the world"

"I don't normally ride this - I'm just the ownner so this is going to be interesting "

"You know I've seen someone killed on the dragstrip - it's the most dangerous motorsport"

Looks like .9 seconds is not a lot of time to react in...

As a member of the old guy club, I hope he is ok.

yeah, im pretty sure electric motors dont give you too much time to react. he had it smoking pretty good, he should have just cut all throttle at that point. i think his mistake was that he burned out, and then tried to ease off the throttle to stop the burning out. of course.. what happened then was instant grip and instant zoom.

400hp for 175lbs? yes please i'll take one of those. i dont need my trunk anyway.

Did he really crash? Is it just me or does anyone else think that this could be a publicity stunt? With the poor video quality and the crash basically occurring off-camera, I couldn't see any of the actual crash.

Cheers

I thought of it.. as it did sound corny/staged and somewhat little crumple dammage to the van (although the wheel did appear to be somewhat cut/wedged into the van).. Who knows, it did take off like a friggen rocket ship tho, so i wouldnt be surprised if it was actually true

And usually for burnouts dont you shift your weight as far front as possible? looks like this guy was putting it more towards the back... noob mistake obviously?

Oh and considering on his website he goes to say "Almost certainly, some cells were shorted. No smoke. No fire. Ultra safe cells. Had these been anything but A123 Systems Nano-phosphate cells, shorts would have caused a serious fire"

Which leads me to believe hes just trying to say these are super awesome batteries

upon closer examination the bike is wedged in the wheel well of the van... NO apparant dammage what so ever... i dunno.. pretty fishy... and plus watching some other vids on youtube doing a burnout at the strip... pull the clutch in and you dont go anywhere...

The latests is that Bill Dube is OK. Maybe he needs to change the name from 'killacycle' to something else...

Theres a lot to be said on wearing a motor cycle helmet.
