Angry Are the 04's out of warranty??

Hey guys i was wondering if my 04 mazda RX-8 would be out of warranty? Because i know that we got some kind of extended something for the "power miss print". so i was just wondering if my cars warranty has to do with when i got the car or when 2008 is over. Because i know that it has a 49 month warranty.

Isn't it like 5 years/60,000 miles, whichever comes first?

It's 5 year 60K miles which ever comes first. This is from when the car was first purchased.

Mine has 47k and I just got the tranny replaced under warranty.

I am pretty sure this is the warranty we have on the '04, they changed it in '07

"2006 Vehicles:

BUMPER-TO-BUMPER

Mazda warrants that new 2006 Mazda cars and trucks will be free of defects with normal use and prescribed maintenance for 48 months or 50,000 miles, which ever comes first. Ordinary maintenance items or adjustments, parts subject to normal wear and replacement and certain other items are excluded. This transferable "limited warranty" is included on all new Mazda vehicles sold and serviced in the United States.

Complement the limited warranty on your new vehicle with the Mazda Extended Protection Plan, the only service agreement backed by Mazda. See your Mazda dealer for details"

Call Mazda NA give them your VIN and they'll tell you when its offically up, I was under the impression its based on the build date of the car (date on the sticker in the door).

bumper to bumper is 5 year 50k, power train is either 5 or 6 year and 60k.. The powertrain is what they extended to give us the extra 10k miles. Im pretty sure its 6 years, my 04 is still in the powertrane warrenty.

I thought it was increased to 100,000 miles last year. I remember because I had like 110,000 miles when they upped it. I could be mistaken.

Warranty?... I don't need no stinkin warranty.

Bumper to Bumper was 4 years / 50,000 miles.
Power train was extended to 5 years / 60,000 LINK

Bumper to bumper warrenty for a 2004 Rx8 is 4 yrs or 50,000 miles. If your Rx8's in service date ( the date the vehicle was 1st sold retail ) is prior to todays date and 4yrs ago (2004). Your Rx8 is out of bumper to bumper warrenty. Now you do still have a 5yr 60,000 power train warrenty that will still cover the engine. If you bought your car used and are unsure of when it was sold new, you can call your local dealer and give them your vin number so they can check the history. If not PM me your vin and I can check for you.

No problem, it wasn't much of any use to me. Mazda came out with the 5/60,000 extension when I had 70,000.

My warranty is up in May this year. Then the extended power train warranty kicks in. Also I have one year of extended coverage that kicks in but it is with a third party.

Anyone that is about to come off warranty be sure to have the dealership look your car over and get a compression test.
