Got my 05 wwp, less than 9k miles for 19k. Trade-in with 02 MB C-230 2-door coupe. I bought it in 07. I think the price is just right. Just didn't have the rear spoiler on it.

If your dad is the General Manager of the dealership, then there should be a employee discount or something.

What is the blue book value of the car when you bought it?

With family like that, who needs enemies.

To the OP, look I'm not trying to be mean. But c'mon man, open your eyes and look around at the market. 04 and 05 models are going for 10-12 grand all day long in great condition with low miles.

Another way of looking at it is you were probably more than halfway to a brand new 2011 model at that price.

The Mazda dealer close to my house was selling a 05GT with a purchase date of 04/2006 and 6700 miles for $15000. I think it sold last week and I am sure the guy who bought it probably knocked $500 off that price.

depends. rx8's have 8 year/ 100k miles engine warranty but thats just on the engine.
a new rotary would cost around 2k.

It was actually 15,500 and i got it for 14500

To the op, I think you got a pretty good deal depending on the condition of the car. At least from a 100 mile radius from my area, the next best deals next to mine was an 06 with 5k miles for 18k (91 miles away from me) and and another 05gt with body kit for 14k with 13k miles. Picked up mine 47 miles away.

He did get a discount, got it of an auction so whatever you get of that, is the discount, cause bascially your losing money to the dealership and try to find a better deal and show me. Rx8 gt, manual 6spd, whiterwater pearl, not a single scratch, dent, buffed etc, brand new tires+rims, red+black seats, heated. and 16k was the total plus tax. That is what mine is.

06 shinka for under 14, has more miles but still...

The fact that your set on white makes it a little more difficult, all we are saying is that an 05 for 16 k is a little much. without taxes it was what 15k? i paid under 15k 2 years ago for my 06 w/ 30k miles. I wouldnt say you got a terrible deal, just def not a great one.

heres an 05 with two different sets of rims w/ winter tires for under 14, not red and black leather but still really nice.

you got ripped. or your dad's dealership got ripped from the Auction.

Yes, I can find a BETTER deal than yours for less than 16K.

but you already paid so it doesn't matter anymore, right ?
