05 rx8 no power (electrical)
Just a quick back story, I have an 05 rx8 shinka AT. Going to get the fuel pump replace under the recall, and I put my key into the ignition, turn it and nothing happens.
I first check under the hood, pulled the battery and let it charge. It is a newer battery, less than two months with me. It was at 95% charge.
I throw it back in and make sure my connections are on tight, still no luck. If I place my chargers on my battery with the terminals on, I get an odd clicking sound from my fuse box.
I checked all fuses including the main and they were all in good shape.
Only one light is on my dash, and it is the car with the key in it. I looked into it and did a trouble shoot to reset it, but still no luck!
<quick read>
all fuses are good. Battery is fully charged but possibly defective? Security light stays on, does not flash unless I press the break down. Clicking from fuse box while charging battery.
any tips would help! Thanks everyone

if the light with the key and the car is on while you have the ignition turned to start your problem is likely related to the immobilizer
I had this issue with my first rx8 after installing some audio related wiring (turns out I had damaged a wire related to the chip in the key that the ignition reads when starting-- part of the cars security)
(me being young and dumb)
I have heard that this can also randomly occur with the key chip losing function but havnt seen it on any of the 5 rx8s ive owned my recent sat for a year with the battery disconnected and no engine and still has no issues with the immobilizer system)
Steps I would go through if I were you
1. Make sure you are using the same key as you usually do (if you have spares)
2. The clicking from the fuse box is a relay (common when you turn the car on however I did have that light flash once when a relay, I believe it was the pcm relay, went bad and I had to swap it )
I don't remember which was the culprit but check the starter relay (ST), EGI relay, circuit relay, and possibly ACC relay
---Check and make sure the relays are good by swapping them with another of the same type---
keep track of what you are doing and which work and don't swap types of relays with eachother
for example, if you want to check if the starter relay works (ST) swap it with your headlight relay (HEAD) and try to turn on the headlights... if your headlights no longer work you can conclude that the relay is bad
3. You should:
-give some more background and anything you've done prior to the issue
-describe the type of blinking you see from the light
-are no other lights turning on
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
...just reread your post and looks like I'm trying to diagnose a different problem
check your ignition, circuit, and acc relays with the process described above
maybe the fuse on the battery positive terminal/cable
also how did you check fuses (i would use a multimeter to check for continuity at each fuse)
good luck
