Looking at an 05 white that a dealer has and I had a question about the interior. It has black with white insert leather seats. I don't remember seeing this color combo before and I wanted to make sure they are factory seats. It looks really good...Thanks!! Lisa

 

That is not a factory color combination; are you sure they are leather?

 

Its a custom insert. I've seen people do this on this forum and it looks really good. Especially on a white car. Good luck !!

 

They are leather. However, they are not power seats and I don't think they are heated. This car really has me acratching my head. I think it started it's life as a base with the sport package and has had some add-ons. I has the painted front air dam, the rotary accents, the ground effects at the back tires (sorry, I don't remember what you call that)...the leather seats and it has some funky-looking shift boot on it...black with white stripes (I know that's not factory). No other options....

It runs great and looks great (except a boo-boo on the passenger door that will need to be repaired), but I am having some doubts at this point.

 

If it has dsc it is at least a sport, if it has a sunroof then it is a touring.

GT had power seats touring did not so to recap....

no dsc no sunroof = base

Dsc and no sunroof= sport

dsc and sunroof = touring

The white leather interior is defiantly custom and i think you should enjoy that because if its anything like the other custom jobs that ive seen then its sweet.

 

Thanks for this info. I had an 04 but sold it a couple of years ago....I've forgotten some important things about the car....and I wasn't sure what had changed for the 05 model year.

Help me out one more time...where is the DSC button located on the car? This one is at a Toyota dealership and they are great people, but know nothing about the car. I want to call them and tell them exactly where to look...I am assuming that's the only way to find out...right?

I have been wanting another 8 for pretty much the last year and really bad this past summer....I just can't seem to find one that suits me...sure sign I'm being too picky, but........

I don't think I'll take it if it doesn't have the DSC. I played with mine on the 04 and it made enough difference that I think I want it again!!

 

Good news...dealer found the original window sticker in the glove box and was willing to share with me.

Turns out, it has the sport package, appearance package and the rotary accents on a 6 sp. The leather seats seem to be the only thing not original and I like them.

PS It's a Snowflake white pearl not whitewater...I guess that was the 05 color of "white."

Yeah, I'd love to see pics also! I have an '05 White GT and always thought it would look amazing with white leather inserts in the seats like that. Would be interesting to see!

I also wonder if the "Snowflake" is the official designation for that year as looking at it closely you can see shimmery flecks in it. Very cool.
