09 RX8 R3 Performance

Are performance parts such as exhausts, intakes, etc. from the 04-08 rx8's compatible with the 09?

Racing Beat has two cat-back exhaust options for the 2009, including the R3. I like the dual-tip exhaust one, personally. I spoke with them via email, and there are other parts that will work, like their intake.

from racing beat, it sounds like it's just the positioning of the outlet tips that's different. their dual-tip one looks pretty cool. looks like it has the staggered tips like on the newer bmw's. my favorite, however, is still their lightweight racing cat-back

that's because people think the car is talking.

Then they secretly laugh.

In the same train of thought, if you had a new R3, what's the first mod you would make?

Take a flathead screwdriver and pop off the stupid plastic mustache on the front bumper

Yeah, it took me a while to get over the black mustache on the 2009s, but now I don't even notice it. I think the R3 is wicked cool looking. The first mod I plan to make when I finally order, and receive mine, and wait a few months for engin break-in, is probably the Racing Beat intake. I've already got it pretty well planned:

R3 is hot. Not sure the design has staying power. In general, cars with lots of bodykits age faster.

Since you are in Orlando and I am as well I can setup you up with parts for your 09'.

I will even help install if you have any issues as well.

There is a new development exhaust for the 09's that will be available soon.

PM me if you are interested, I have been compiling a list of what will and will not fit.
