I have an 04 6sp sport ive had for five years.. I bought a 2010 MX5 to keep my rx8 company and I hate the damn whimpy lightweight shift **** on the miata.. threw the one off my o4 on there and it feels great, oddly makes the car feel more powerful just with the **** since it reminds me of my 8.. i have found 04-08 shift ***** around for dirt cheap, but cant find an 09+.. the '10 miata has the transmission layout of the 09+ 8's (reverse to the left of 1st).. any idea where to find a new/used one without payin 350$ to the dealer?

try posting a wtb thread in the classifieds, isnt likely that you will find one but worth a try.

 

I was thinking of getting a ball shape shifter for my R3. cant find the right gate pattern.

And don't ask me why or how, but I strongly feel that the 8's shift **** adds a couple of horses under the bonnet.....I'm just sayin'.

 

How much would you pay for one? I want to get a lighted **** so I'd be willing to sell my original one. It's got about 8,000 miles on it and in great shape. Of course, I can't sell it until I order a lighted **** but if you just give me your word on it, we can work it out.
