1000 mile report

Well, we have had our 8 now for about 5 weeks (07). This is without question one of the best cars I have ever own. I did change the oil and started using the redline fuel additive. I have notice since I started using the fuel additive my chrome tail pipes seem to be staying cleaner. I do wash my cars aleast once a week. My wife treats this car better than me. I do question the oil 5w/20w, but I also know the Mazda engineers know alot more than I do!

You'll be happy to know Mazda isn't the source of the 5w20. They recommend 5w30 in other countries.

WOW you really do not drive your car... Do you?? I have had mine just over one month and I just broke 2500 miles. All I can tell you is that the gas milage has gotten better as the milage gets added on.

I agree with the OP =O

I've had mine for 1 year and only put 9k on it. I got it with 9k too, so the previous owner drove about as much as I did

Glad to hear you're enjoying your 8. I'm going to definitely look into that redline additive you're talking about, my tips are always dirty =(
