17" wheels specs?

I stopped my choice on the Hankook W300 Ice Bear 225/50R17 (from what I have read, it is the best ratio: value/winter performance).

My question:

Will any of the 17" wheels that have these specs will fit on the Rx8 meaning that they will all clear the calipers or should I be carefull when ordering them via the internet due to the fact that they might not fit even if they have these specs:

17 x 7, 5x114.3, 38 to 45 offset

Thanks!

This is what I get:

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 25mm MORE
The outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT in towards the body by 1mm

How can I be sure that the 17" rims will clear the calipers (brakes) with these numbers?

Thanks.

Doing a search on this board I didn’t find another owner with Drag DR-11. Tire Rack also does carry that rim. If you cannot see the rim in person the safest thing to do is buy ONE rim provided the retailer would take back a un-mounted rim and test fit it on the front without the tire. If it clears the brakes buy the other three, if not you’re only out shipping one rim back.
