2 months locked out of my 8
I Just need to vent. I spent August working on Jamaica so I couldn't drive my car. Then when I got back to PR My registration had expired so I had to pay for it only I don't have the money. I currently hold 4 Jobs:
1 I am the prowd owner (with my wife) of adance school, but being our 1st year in buisness we still don't make enogh money to pay our own salaries. The good thing is that we at least break even (we get to pay the rest of the teachers their salaries, rent and utilities).
My other job (#2) Me and my wife dance profesionally on a ballet company only that the public funding for the company has been held up because of paper work so we havent gotten payed in the last 3 months. And job # 3 as an IT consultant/instructor still hasent paid me for the work done in Jamaica.
Job # 4 which is the only one that has been paying the bills ( construction supervision and paperwork) has kept us alive for the past 3 months but I doesent pay enogh to pay for the car payments (for mine and my wifes), motage, utilities, groceries, incidentals and the registration for the car. To make matters worst my wife's car registration expires THIS MONTH so we might be turning to public transportation pretty soon. By the way public transportation in PR SUCKS!!!.
When everything falls into place we will be VERRY comfortable (sh..t with 4 jobs me and 3 my wife we should be fu..ing rich by now) but until all the money they owe us comes down I am getting desperate.
By the way, I have been turning the car on every weekend so the battery doesent die and washing it every sunday (at least I derive some pleasure out of that).
JUST VENTING you can go ahead and ingnore this post.
By the way, when I got back form Jamaica my battery had died, Is that normal for a car that was not turned on for a whole month or should it have started up? Is something draining my battery.

Don't worry bro, All your hard work will pay off and these types of experiences will make you stronger. The battery will be hard to start after a month without use because of the antitheft system. It drains the battery slowly. I would suggest you purchase a booster pack just in case. Once the car starts, it will be fine.
Good luck

Thanks, I didn't know that about the antitheft system. Anyway now that I'm back I'm starting the car every sunday so it should not happen again.
About the money hey what doesent kill us makes us stronger right??
I have been verry lucky. I get to work on things that I love doing so it's not so bad. Just that a little break would be nice. At least I havent missed any payments on ANYTHING so my credit hasn't gotten affected.

Horray!!!
I Just payed the registration for the car. Yesterday they payed us in the Ballet company (the check from July 1st) so I was able to pay my registration today. I couldn't wait a second longer so after spending ONE HOUR putting on the new sticker. I have tints and I didn't want to damage it getting the old one off. I put the sticker on.
get my driving shoes on and get into the car. Turn the key and roll down the windows.
NO a/c, no radio, nothing to distract me from that sound that I love so much. I wait about 3 minutes ideling untyl the temperature comes up to operating parameters. Then I pull out...
It was jus a short ride around the block but DAMN WAS IT SATISFYING. took it easy to the first turn. Then WOT until the next. I love the sound of the renesis under load!
It was like geting together with an old dear firiend. Im actually looking forward to the drive to my 1st job tomorow :-)
Thanks for the supporting words. If it wasn't for this forum I would have gone INSANE, insane, ins... (well some things can't be helped :-p)
