2 weeks till I get her back!
Well, yesterday the body shop told me I would be getting my baby back in two weeks. "I'm as giddy as a little girl". They've been waiting for an "Apron" (not sure what that is) and it finally came in yesterday. She's naked from the firewall forward right now and it's really not a pretty site. I check on her once a week but basically have not made any real progress since Nov 8th. Frankly, I'm a little worried at the amount of work required to rebuild her but I could not get the insurance company to total her. As it stands right now the insurance company is paying:
Body work: $19,700
Rental car: $800
Diminished value: $1,500 - $2,000 (Estimated)
Repair of elictrical utility box I hit: $5,500
Reference, my first post on this site: DSC or NOT! Not a choice for me again.

I tried VERY hard to get a TKO. Originally the insurance company told me the amount to rebuild the car was going to be around $16,300. That did not meet their required 75% to total. After several supplements, the amount reached the $19,700. By then it was just too late. All the parts had been ordered and the body shop had already invested too much time into the tear down. At least that is the story I'm told.
