2004 Mazdaspeed RX8
Hey,
I was wondering if anyone has information on the limited production 2004 Mazdaspeed RX8. I've read that 300 of these were produced in late 2003 and released in the USA.
I was looking at an RX8 that has Mazdaspeed logos on it. It's silver with a black hood with hoodpins holding it in. The seller claims that this is a rare 2004 Mazdaspeed RX8.
I've been doing some research but I really can't find much information about this car. If anyone could provide me with details I could use to verify the authenticity of the car, it would be greatly appreciated.
I'll post some pics soon.

it's a lie. There is no MS RX8, only MS upgrades such as the body kit, springs/dampers, intake, exhaust, flywheel, etc. Check MazdaUSA.com for more details on what's in that kit.

the only things MS about that car are the MS sideskirts which that person decided to ruin by writing on them. I would stay away, he will probably charge too much and it seems like it was someone's toy; who knows what that person has done to it (or not done to it)

After initial launch in 2003, Mazda released a limited run of RX-8 dubbed "Mazdaspeed Version" boasting various Mazdaspeed accessories as well as a slightly tuned ECU. This special edition was available in Strato Blue Mica or Sunlight Silver. Only 300 were produced. In 2004, Mazda followed up with a "Mazdaspeed Version II," this time available only in Strato Blue and with slightly up-rated equipment. Only 300 were produced as before.

haha wow. hey i have an idea! "let's advertise a car that doesn't exist!!" Maybe if it didn't look absolutely awefull it might be almost somewhat believable....
oh wait no it wouldn't cuz obviously the MS 8 is about as real as the tooth fairy.

Mazda did release concept cars that were popularly dubbed MazdaSpeed Version 1 and 2. But never made any cars. Some of the stuff on those cars was made available from dealers as (expensive) add-ons that could be bought and applied.
And, either way, that car you posted pictures of is most definitely not either of those "Versions". It's someone's aftermarket stuff, and pretty crappy stuff at that, slapped onto a car.
EDIT: Aw crap, it is April Fools Day isn't it.

there was no mazdaspeed rx8's in the USA. Theres mazdaspeed rx8's in japan, version 1 and 2 but those are jus equipped with mazdaspeed accessories and pcm upgrades. you could get mazdaspeeed equipped rx8's in usa from dealerships but all they have is all the accessories equipped and way overpriced. the rx8 you pictured doesnt even have the mazdaspeed body kit on it except for the sideskirts, CF hood is aftermarket among other things. you got to trust me on this, look at my username! even my 8 is only mazdaspeed equipped with my mazdaspeed emblem :P
