if anyone wants to know i am the cousin... and i do have most of the parts. I am still unsure of the deal... it does drive excellent and can be fixed up fairly easy with my "stock" the only worry is the mileage i guess... its just his situation that he is in that he can afford a certain price range AND that price range has to be local or he cant finance it. And like the guy said above this rx8 is better than no rx8 if it comes to 1k or so of a bad deal who cares... he got the car.

 

I'm not trying to insult you or your intellegence when I say maybe he should not get an RX8 yet.

People use the word afford like it would be the only payment and everything else will go as you plan. If your cousin gets this car, he will have the car and the 60 months of payments? If this is a payment range thing!!

If the car runs fine good to go but...

If the car needs an engine replacement he will still have to make the payment!!
The question is CAN he AFFORD this car? I would plan for worst case scenerio and hope for the best.
You know as well as any that this car needs more attention (money) than most vehicles in its price range.
You my friend will be the one helping him if he has problems, not any of us. Our lives will go on just the same if something happened to his car because he did not think it through. Like I said I wish you luck.

jesus...what a bunch of negative nancies...in all honesty.. you got a good deal, repo car or not...congrats of the purchase...everyone always has some opinion, and thats all fine and well..but how about a positive one every now and then...if he like nordic green..then get nordic green....i mena its not arctic white lol either way enjoy the car, it is an expensive own, but it is a sports car, and it is an rx...its no different than any of my rx7s ive owned lol
