2005 Model changes to RX-8

Sorry, I cannot discuss where I got this information, just to say that it is from a reliable source within Mazda. :D

There will be only ONE change to the 2005 RX-8: The color Lightning Yellow has been discontinued. In it's place will be "Glacier White" instead. So those of you who have LY cars (or have your eye on one) this color will become a collector's color, which is what Mazda wants.

They should just call it "Maytag White", since it's an appliance colour, not a sports car colour!

:p :D

That is exactly what they did to the FD. CYM is now the 'rare' collector RX7. White replaced it untill the last 2003 model.

Long time lurker, first post.

I emailed Mazda two days ago to see what "official word" they may have about the 2005 model. Someone posted here some time ago that Mazda said specs would be out in June. I got a similar email, but different month...

Thank you for contacting Mazda North American Operations. I appreciate
the opportunity to respond to you.

In regard to your inquiry, the 2005 Mazda RX-8 is currently scheduled
to be released in September. Unfortunately, we don't have any specific
information on the 2005 Mazda RX-8 at this time. You may want to check
back with us in August.

Please take a moment to give us your opinion about our e-mail service.

I agree. That was the 'X-men' RX-8 color, right? Really cool.

I don't like yellow. It's a color for taxis...:D

TOO many drab looking cars out there to get rid of the yellow and replace it with white. Yuck! Take a look around in a normal parking lot, if the color of your car doesn't catch your eye, it ain't worth having. Hmm, wonder why I got winning blue. Lost in a sea of silver, black, and white cars....

If you're right ---yes yes im sooooo happy !!
I hope its the pearl white that's avalible in Japan.
Unfortunately my rx-8 is no longer (accident )
So when I get my check from the total ---hehe looks like ill be waiting till the Glacier white comes .

Well, I can't believe that Nordic green has survived. From the polls on this forum, even if they leave it in production for another three years, it will be the more collectible color since it is selling so slowly. I have seen one but only one.

However, I must reiterate the previous post: Bwahahaha!!!!

I love my lightning yellow 8 even if noone else does. It is the kind of color that I have always wanted on a car, and its uniqueness continues to make me happy. COOOL

I don't think that would work. It would look as bad as those Mary Kay kars.

Picture deleted

Sorry for your embarrassment, but a more clinical and less erotic image of that gland does not exist. The color of the gland or nipple would not make a good color for a car.
