2006 pricing

It appears that the pricing is the same.

http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...r=2006AutoShow

Click on launch site (for the auto show), click on the picture of RX-8, and then click on "Build Your Own" Mazda is in the process of putting putting the updated information (not fully converted so some graphics are missing) up for the new colors and fabric choices and packages, with the exception that Phantom Blue and Copper Red are just boxes with an X in them. The prices are showing up the same as my previous list. It does say 2006 RX-8 on the side of the screen when I do this, along with a few other interior combinations and color choices. However, it still says 4-Speed auto at this point, also.

hmm...everything still says 2005 when I go there.

I tried clicking on vehicles and on Build A Vehicle. I'm anxious to see the new Copper Red. (since I've already seen the Galaxy Grey in person. )

Bunny: Hope you get yours soon!

Try this. It says 2006 for me and shows the "blank" colors.

http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/sele...nual&x=113&y=8

You can see what Copper Red looks like if you click on the Tribute and look at their colors. I know it is not the same as seeing it on an RX-8 but that is where I saw Copper Red at before.

that worked.

Holy Rotaries BATMAN! The shinka pkg is a $6,000 upgrade.
(about $1700 more then GT)

Ah man, I just noticed that you still can't get the Navi with the Shinka pkg. Guess Mazda didn't want to see any MSRP's up near the $40,000 MSRP range

To get the Navigation system you have to have Grand Touring instead of the Shinka package I noticed. Maybe that's why it wasn't mentioned to me when I talked to Mazda the first time. I told them I had to have the Navigation system. Hmmmm.

yeah, it's been like that since the Shinka's came out. I personally can't figure out why. I've also talked to many many many people @ Mazda and no one has ever come up with a Good Reason as to why they can't put Navi's in them.
This is one of those things that, "Makes you go hhhmmmm" (anyone remember that song?)

I was told by a sales guy that it has something to do with how the satellite radio is installed and another one said it had something to do with something they did differently to the frame, so I don't really know either, and I don't think they did.

Wow, that's from a long time ago!!!! I think I remember that song from like fifth or sixth grade!!!!

Thats all crap. Doesnt the Sport Prestige 2 or the new Shinka have Nav in it? I've seen pics of it with the NAV. I wouldnt really trust the website info till we see 2006's being mass shipped to the US sometime around April.

Nope. Not listed in the features.

BunnyGirl,

The BUILD page says 2006 but the info is 2005 info. It still shows the AT at 197HP and a 4 speed automatic. I wouldn't trust the prices on the site just yet.

there are a bunch of discrepancies on the build page, the mazda web techs probably havent finished the pages yet. the colors for the interior are also not visible.

In case nobody was reading, I mentioned above that they are in PROCESS of converting, not that it was fully converted over. Also mentioned the blank spots! I said it APPEARED they were the same. They are listing the new interior choices, color choices, and also list the Shinka package in the option page. Also, the link I just listed above is Mazda's press release about the Sport Prestige II which doesn't mention Navigation being a feature. That is what I was pointing out. Nothing else.

Since all the other info is incomplete, why do you think the price is correct?

Gee, if it has navigation, why don't you post the link so we can see it instead of telling us to find it??? Too hard for you to track it down???

Let's see, I have spent nearly two hours looking for it today, for either the 2006 Shinka or Sports Prestige II. Neither one of them lists it as an option where I can find info, nor have I found any picture showing it, just tons of interior shots without one. You would certainly think that would be a big show off feature. And to this end, I can verfify for certain that you could not get one on a 2005 Shinka.

http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...ehicleCode=RX8

Click under the option tab and it will show it lined out, not available.

It's very easy to say it comes with one but unless you supply the proof your words mean nothing.

APPEARS is subjective. I did not state concretely, definite fact, that the prices were the same. I said it APPEARED that way at this time. Yes, this may in fact change in a few days, but at this time it APPEARS they are the same.

Do a search BunnyGirl. If you can't find it in 2 hrs. Search for 6 before you start getting a rise out of people.

Since you don't appear capable enough to find it. Here's the link. It has been posted on this forum before.

http://www.rx-8.mazda.co.jp/limited/sport_prestige_2/

If you still can't make out the nav, I really can't help you.

I saw that link hours ago, which matches with all the other pictures. It shows the spot where the Navigation would go in a car that had one. It doesn't show there being a screen flipped open, nor does it show one in any of the other pictures, just like every other picture I have seen of that car. That proves nothing.
