Did the interior--shifter et al look like the '04-'05 A/Ts? Any noticeable difference

I read two random articles on the web that are stating the the 06 RX-8 6 spd. at 247 hp. Can anyone confirm this? I know the automic version got an increase, but I thought the 6spd was going to stay at 238.

Got those random links?

BTW, the japanese site claims the same HP numbers as the '05...however they also still list the 4sp AT.

IIRC, the 238 HP number is for U.S. models, it stayed at 247 for the Japanese market. If the random web sites you were looking at were from Japan, they would cite the 247 HP number.

Question

anyone know if the start button on the 2006 RX-8 going to have Rotary shape button like the option offered in Japan?

Edit: Just re-read the spec deck... it is "Smartkey keyless entry system", and does not actually say "Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry & Start System", so probably no start button

I saw the galaxy gray this past weekend on the new mx-5 and it was damn sexy. It was under fluorescent lighting so it was a turquoise/purple/bluish/grey kinda color.

Seems nothing that really matters in terms of performance....just get another 8 soon mate, as you know, it's the best ride around, especially with a few mods.

27.9 loaded w/o nav seems a bit high to me.. (maybe 1k too much.. which is about the price of a Nav.)

I know around here at least, MN, people are getting fully loaded 8's (w/ Nav) for 28k off the lot, no trade-in.
