2006 rx-8 noob questions
i bought a 2006 rx-8 manual transmission with touring package from a dealer the other day when my nissan xterra's timing belt broke and forced me into a new car.
I did shop around pretty quickly and found this vehicle, which had 55,600 miles on it, for 12,900. According to reviews and a few other sites and carfax the car was clean and this seemed to be a good deal.
So far i am loving the car, i always loved the rx-8 look and style. Although i am a taller person i find the car comfy and fun to drive. I noticed there were some forums about the engines and recalls due to a few issues, but they weren't too major and i know mazda has a 100,000 mile warranty on the engine itself.
So what i am really asking, after reading the users manual of the car is for generic advice on maintaining the rotary engine in the car and any other advice the rx gurus would bestow upon me that could be useful. I am also curious how this car will handle in the cold weather, starting and running and such.

There are a few FAQ's on this site (maybe even in this section) that you should be able to find quickly. The search function on this site should get you all the information you need. Once you are done reading all the stickies the various sections you can start searching for more specific information to fill that gaps that the stickies leave. Welcome, by the way. I hope you enjoy your new ride.
Edit: Alot of people beat me to it.
