2007 Shinka, who has one?

Looked at the online mazda brochure and no info on it.
Goolged shinka and found some info on it.
How many of you have a 06 or 07 Shinka?
Is it any better/improved than the GT? or just a deluxe version of it?
Does it look better with the spoiler?
How about with the spare tire kit?

thanks

PS
Driving a '95 MX-3 and thinking of moving up to the bigger bro.
( getting 36 mpg and know the 8 wont give me anywhere close to that, but who
is counting gallons?

I thought they made the Shinka models for 06 only? I might be wrong so someone please correct me if I am.

there are no shinka in 2007. the only real difference is the seats. otherwise it looks no different on the outside...so with or without the spoiler will look the same as a regular 8.

i'm not sure what the heck you're asking about the spare tire kit.

Exclamation Hopefully this will bring some clarity...

The Shinka trim level ended in '06.
There is only one part of the Shinka trim that is now standard on the '07 GT.

Advanced keyless entry

The rest have always been available as dealer accesories:

Spoiler
Spare tire kit
Satilite radio

Things that were dropped all together:

Alacatra seating surfaces

Hope that helped!!

What? My '06 Shinka goes faster and handles better thanks to the B-pillar appliqué! When I corner, I feel the confidence that only those elite few with a urethane filled cross member can enjoy! And speaking of the seats, since my butt does not slide on hard cornering due to the suede-like alcatera , I am able to pull few more g's than an ordinary RX-8. Also, the red stitching on the upholstery makes the Shinka have gobs more low-end torque. The only thing missing is the horsepower gain from the black cherry paint that was only on previous Shinka models.

Advanced Keyless Entry & Start System was also standard on '06 GT.

Sand Leather is available in '07 GT without Alcantara trim

6 CD changer is standard in '06 Shinka and '07 GT, optional in '06 GT

Copper Red is only available on '06 Shinka and Black Cherry only on '05 Shinka

Piano Black trim is standard on Shinka (steering wheel control, center consoles...etc.)

I think that is correct except for the Keyless Entry -- I did not think it was available at all on the '06 GT

The Shinka also has slightly modified suspension components. There is a fairly exhaustive discussion here:

Keyless start begin in '06 GT, I still have the '06 brochure.

Sticky for 07 RX-8 Spec has change list. It would give you ideas of differences between '06 and '07, and Keyless Start is not one of the differences listed for GT because there is no change.
