2008 Info is Out!
And it looks like there isn't much to talk about, as expected. There will be a 40th Anniversary Edition, for whatever it's worth.
"To help celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Mazda’s rotary engine, Mazda will offer a limited-edition 40th Anniversary RX-8. Available in early 2008, the 40th Anniversary RX-8 will feature a special Metropolitan Gray exterior/Cosmo Red leather interior color scheme, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, suspension enhancements, fog lamps, silver engine cover and special badging."
I'm actually kind of curious to see how it turns out, not that it's a huge upgrade. Also, Phantom Blue might have been discontinued, not that that's a big surprise.

hahaha what is it with mazda and grey? i mean, its an easy color to let get dirty and not notice too much as opposed to oooh... black cherry :p, maybe another green? or an orange color... orange is popular with other mfctrs, i'm trying to think of a color thats flashy enough for the car, but not lame... i would suggest a blacker black, but i don't think they'd go for that

BAFFLED
they STILL haven't touched that freaking engine in 4 FULL years of production! If anything, the numbers have went DOWN from the very first release (238 > 232). Or would be that be the second...or third release?
sigh.

Only the numbers have gone down. The engine is as powerful as it was right from the beginning. Besides—like Fonzarelli's hair—why mess with perfection?
