2008 RX-8 --- No Applicable TSB's??
Hello folks,
Just picked up a 2008 AE rx8 and this site has been tremendously helpful. After all of my research however I still seem to have a few outstanding questions. Basically, with all of the TSB's on the web and flashes of the ECU my 8's vin falls outside of the range of affected vehicles. I am hoping that this means the majority of the flooding/coil/plug/etc issues should not be a concern for me, however realistically it doesn't make sense that for a few of the last series 1 models only they fixed all of the bugs. Does anyone know if this is truly the case?
On a side note, I absolutely love this car. While it is not a 'drag car' it feels faster once the revs are up then what is quoted in the magazines. After some research it appears that most tests were done by dropping the cliutch at or around 3,000RPM's. While not the best from a wear and tear standpoint IMO the best launch would be at 5.500RPM, a la S2000 which lost a full second off the initial tests by R&T and C&D once they started launching at 6,000rpms vs 3,000rpm . Have any of you experimented with this at the track?
Thanks for the help!

Well, I assume that by 2008 they have fixed all the problems but you will likely have issue with visors and tail lights eventually because even though they have updated parts the updated parts are still lame.
