My understanding is that MY2011 would be the last MY for the current RX-8 and that it would be unchanged from MY2010. However, I have not seen any 2011s on sale locally. When I checked the Mazda website, they show 2011 models for every car except the RX-8 which is shown as a 2010. Anyone know what is going on???

 

I checked Edmunds. The only interesting thing is that they only list the car as being available in red for 2011. However, when I checked dealer inventory, no one had a 2011 RX-8 within 500 miles of me and I live in the metro Washington, DC area. Basically, that means there are no 2011s in the Northeast.

 

well the dealer in my town told me they will not get their first shipment of 2011 models till next month. Europe on the other hand will not be getting the 2011 due to the fact that it couldn't make Europe's emission standards.

 

I was getting service Friday and they had brochures for the 2011's. But damn only 3 colors- red, black, and silver. So much for going out in style.

I wonder what Mazda has on their mysterious minds.

I'm excited to see what kind of special edition RX8 they come out with, since I heard something about it before. Perhaps a Mazdaspeed version?

 

Mazda just released the 2011 info, see link below. And yes, there's just 3 colors for this year. Job 1 for the 2011 RX8 builds wasn't until Sept, so that's why there aren't many 2011's out there yet (if any).
