notice how the japanese cars had a decrease in power while the domestic cars had a gain in hp ? is that some marketing scheme, to make domestic cars appear to be more appealing ? ? altho performance remains the same.. yet, some people do buy cars by the hp numbers...

no, its the japanese companies that have been abusing the rules and overating their cars while domestic companies have been conservative when rating their cars. yes, performance remains the same but a lot of Japanese cars were "overated."

LOL... You guys crack me up! Plain old HP's doesn't even tell you how fast a car is going to be. My Truck hs a hell of a lot more HP then my 8 but my 8 will hit 100 before the truck hits 75! Mainly because my truck weighs 3 times the 8.
Really, no one could even tell the difference between two cars that had an 8 Hp difference anyway. Especially if you don't even know how to drive well enough to take advantage of it... Just my Thoughts...

just in... the new redesigned 2007 V6 Toyota Camery will have 268hp and 248lb-ft of torque under the new SAE net rule. seems Toyota is getting their act together with the hp rating. who knows in a couple of years we might see these daily drivers reach 300hp.
